The Formula 1 Decade – 60’s Team Lotus Poster from the manufacturer Automobilist
In the 1960s, Formula 1 had its own revolutionary, and his early masterpiece was to cause a sensation on the world’s race tracks. The man was Colin Chapman, and the masterpiece was his 1962 creation, the Lotus 25 Formula One car. Chapman with Team Lotus was part of the English “Garagiste” movement, which concentrated on producing less powerful, but lighter and more agile mid-engine machines.
Jim Clark took pole position in six of the nine races in 1962, won three of them, including his first F1 victory at Spa-Francorchamps in a Lotus 25, and won his first World Championship title the following year.
The print was created using Automobilist’s signature 3D digital modelling technique to produce a computer-generated image of impressive quality.
